Why we ditched swiping
Swiping asks one question: this face, or the next one. Most people never get a sentence.
A street is slower. You see how someone walks, what they stop to look at, and whether they turn around when you say hello. That is a small amount of information, and it is more than a crop of a photo.
Streets of Love has no stack. You walk a 3D copy of a UK city, stop someone who is there, and talk if they want to. If they don’t, they keep walking. Nobody owes you a match.
We still think photos matter. Your avatar wears the look you chose, and your profile has a picture. They just aren’t the whole introduction.
